By 1971, Larry was ready to open his own wholesale lab. His three sons, Terry, Al and Brian began working as teenagers alongside their father, edging, surfacing and finishing lenses for local doctors offices as well as offices across the United States. Their combined years of experience stretch over 175 years.

Terry Frecker/President

Terry has worked at Frecker Optical since 1976. His responsibilities include sales, customer service, managing inventory as well as our diagnostic trouble shooting expert. His greatest pleasures at work include interaction with customers and solving problems for individuals and various accounts. Outside of work, he enjoys riding his bike and considers himself a flea market junky!

Al Frecker/Vice President

Al has worked at Frecker Optical since 1977. His duties include quality control, lens inspection and overseeing the finishing department in conjunction with being our master edger. He loves the independence of being self employed and considers it a privilege to work with his father and brothers. When he’s not working he enjoys the outdoors and raising crops on his 90 acre farm.

Brian Frecker/Vice President

Brian has worked at Frecker Optical since 1978. He is our personnel manager and his responsibilities include surface lab and production flow manager, research, and integrating new equipment. He considers the engineering aspects of making glasses to be deeply gratifying. On his days off he enjoys his hobby of grafting fruit trees.

Monica Miller/Sales Representative and Finisher

Monica has been an optician since 1983. It was at that time Monica and Frecker Optical first began a working relationship that continued throughout her career. She later worked as an optical manager in a private doctor’s office for over twenty five years. She is currently Frecker Optical’s sales representative as well as a finisher, inserting lenses and aligning frames. In her free time, Monica enjoys living her lifelong dream of writing and has published three books.
